A medium-sized garden near Notting Hill Gate, London: Catherine Fitzgerald and Mark Lutyens were asked to design and make new gardens around a charming 19th century brick villa, keeping the best of the existing trees and shrubs.

The works included off-street parking and a new studio building at the end of the garden, but we counter-balanced this with enough soft, green space to make it seem like a country garden, a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city.
